General FAQs

We’ve done our best to answer and address the most frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) or concerns that we are approached with on a weekly basis. You can always reach out to us directly with any specific questions or requests at any time and we will do our best to respond promptly.

Are your treats safe for my dog?

Absolutely! Every single ingredient that goes into our treats has been researched and verified as safe for your dog. We put extra time and effort into making sure that they are not only safe, but that they also provide benefits such as adding essential vitamins and minerals, healthy fats and allergen free options. Every one of our products is registered with the NYS Department of Agriculture, has been independently tested at a 3rd party lab and has had a guaranteed analysis done. Every single treat is clearly labeled per NYS Dept of Ag and AAFCO guidelines. We have gone above and beyond our industries labeling standards because we believe that your dog deserves the best and safest treats, from a trusted and reputable brand.

Are your treats soft?

All of our treats have a cracker like crunch to them. All of our peanut butter based treats (Peanut Butter Goodness, Carob Chip Delight, Dipped Bones & Bflo) have a texture similar to that of a graham cracker and are a favorite go-to for our furry customers with: small teeth, sensitive teeth, missing teeth or no teeth. Our Scrumptious Pumpkin treats are a little bit crispier, almost like you would expect from a biscotti. From our experience, most of our “soft treat only” dogs end up coming back again and again for more!

Do Fetch! Gourmet Dog Treats need to be refrigerated?

No. They are shelf stable for an indefinite period of time. Like a cracker, they may lose some of their quality and color over time, but there is no need to refrigerate for safety.

I noticed that your treats are completey all-natural. How about gluten-free?

We understand and appreciate the importance of offering gluten free products. The oat flour that we use is naturally gluten free. We are not Certified Gluten Free because the oat flour is not produced in a certified gluten free facility, however; it is produced in a separate location apart from where the gluten flour is processed. Our pumpkin and sweet potato puree is also gluten and GMO free.

It seems like there are so many options available for homemade dog treats locally, maybe even offering larger quantities of treats for less money. Why should I buy from you?

You are right. It seems as though there is a never ending supply of options for locally homemade treats for your dog. At Fetch! we pride ourselves in quality vs. quantity. Every single treat is hand made and decorated with the same love for your dog as we have for ours. Also, every treat is made with oat flour and infused with salmon oil. There is no certified coloring or chemicals added. This translates to a much higher quality product that costs a little bit more to make. Be sure to always ask if the treats that you are buying are legally registered.

Where is your bakery located?

Fetch! Gourmet Dog Treats, LLC currently produces product out of the Eastern HIlls Mall at 4545 Transit Rd Williamsville, NY. We have relationships with several area businesses (listed under “Locate a Retailer” on our Home and Shop pages) that carry a variety of our fresh treats at any one time. We also attend different markets, trade shows and pet related events throughout the year. We believe that the best way to get your dog the freshest treats possible is to 1) Order them online, 2) Visit us at the farmers market or one of our events, 3) Visit our friendly resale locations.

Can my dog eat Peanut Butter?

Yes. Peanut butter is a great source of protein, vitamins and healthy fats (for you too!). We grind our own peanut butter so you can be sure that there is no added sugar, sodium, oil, or preservatives. Xylitol is starting to be found in more and more store bought PB brands. It is crucial that you read and understand the label on your pups food/treats/etc. Xylitol will kill your furry friend!

Do you make cat treats?

I’m sorry, we do not.

You mention different events that you participate in. Anything specific? How do we find out where you’re going to be and when you will be there?

Events are added from time to time based on a number of factors. Aside from our weekly markets, the best way to stay up to date is to follow us on social media, as that is updated most frequently.

Will you ship to my niece who lives out of state?

Definitely. Our turn around on out of state orders will be about 3-5 business days, however; we have no control on actual shipping time once a package is left with the carrier. Expedited or Rush delivery can be requested for a fee. Otherwise, all orders over $35 are eligible for FREE shipping!

I love your “seasonal” treats and cutouts, but I do not want to wait for them. Can I special order during non-seasonal times of the year?

Our cutouts are so much fun to do and we love making them! We will gladly accept any request for our seasonal treats ANY time of the year. A minimum order of twenty-five (25) cutouts is required for an out of season cutout. We can even fill special cutout requests for you if there is an event or occasion that you have and would like us to cater for you. PLEASE, with all off season or special requests ALLOW EXTRA TIME for production and delivery. Please contact us with any special requests. If for some reason we can not fill the order, we will most certainly let you know right away!

Do you make dog safe cakes?

Right now, as a company, Fetch! does not produce a dog safe cake for special events. We CAN do this, but we refuse to sell any product that is not legally registered with the state of New York. We do offer large Novelty Bones that cover a variety of occasions and customized gift baskets as well!

Any plans to expand your operation?

We are growing! But slow and steady wins the race! Our main concern is continuing to provide the same high quality treats to all of our loyal customers. We do have plans. Stay tuned!
